DIVA - Ferdinand Metz
Ferdinand is a big fan of various art movements and drawing styles. In much of his work, his 'little figures' are a great inspiration for him. In the work DIVA, he depicts the most flamboyant of the bunch. These little figures are like family to Ferdinand. He dresses them up, he creates family portraits. They give him confidence and a sense of security, and he takes them everywhere with him. Ferdinand often travels all over the world, and his little figures do not stay at home. He even takes more clothes for them on these trips than for himself!

These limited edition socks are part of a unique collaboration between Kunstsokken and REAKT, an organization within mental health care that helps people with a mental health or addiction background through creative and therapeutic projects. Together, we have selected and translated three artworks, including this piece by Ferdinand, into our socks.
