Art socks x Museum Prinsenhof Delft: Jan Schoonhoven

Kunstsokken x Museum Prinsenhof Delft: Jan Schoonhoven

An exclusive collaboration in honor of Jan Schoonhoven

The reveal is here! We are proud to present our latest collection, in collaboration with Museum Prinsenhof Delft. In honor of the exhibition "Lothar Wolleh sees Jan Schoonhoven. Masters in rhythm and light", we have designed two unique socks: 'R70-56' and 'Sous Verre'.

These socks are available in our webshop for a short period. After that, they can only be found in the museum.

From Relief to 2D: An Innovative Look at Design

The transition from Schoonhoven's unique reliefs to the two-dimensional world of socks called for a special approach full of innovation and creativity. 'R70-56' and 'Sous Verre' are not just designs, but also a tribute to an art icon and an expression of our commitment to the design profession.

The Exhibition: A Fascinating Fusion of Rhythm and Light

Until January 7, 2023, Museum Prinsenhof Delft presents the enchantment of Jan Schoonhoven in "Lothar Wolleh sees Jan Schoonhoven. Masters in rhythm and light".

Experience the unique fusion of Wolleh's photographic talent and Schoonhoven's characteristic reliefs. We had the privilege of attending this spectacle during the opening in July, and believe us, you don't want to miss this!

Jan Schoonhoven: The Minimalist Master from Delft

Jan Schoonhoven (1914-1994), a true Delft citizen, was not only an important name in the art world but also always carried his city with him. His mark on modern art is indelible, and not just because of his characteristic white reliefs. Schoonhoven was a pioneer of minimalism, which focuses on unprecedented simplicity and objectivity.

Although his works may initially seem simplistic, they reveal a deep complexity upon closer inspection, with rhythmic patterns and interplay of light and shadow. His creations invite contemplation and reflection, and each piece is a journey of discovery in itself.

Tot Slot...

This collaboration is a highlight for us, and you shouldn't miss both the socks and the exhibition. Put on your new 'R70-56' or 'Sous Verre' socks, visit the exhibition, and immerse yourself in the world of Jan Schoonhoven.

The exhibition "Lothar Wolleh sees Jan Schoonhoven - Masters in rhythm and light" can be viewed until January 7, 2024, at Museum Prinsenhof Delft.
